What do United Methodists believe?

As a part of the worldwide United Methodist Church family, we follow a set of Bible-based, God inspired beliefs set forth by our denomination. To learn more about our beliefs, CLICK HERE .

  • Where should I park? Is there handicap parking?

    We have ample parking available at our location. First United Methodist Church Granite Falls also has handicap parking which is located towards the front of our building.

  • What should I expect?

    You will feel welcome the moment you step on our property. Our congregational care team will greet you, offer you a name tag so yo can blend in with the rest of us, and show you around. We offer a relaxed blended service of tradional and contemporary music.

  • Do you serve Communion?

    Communion is usually served on the first Sunday of each month. We alternate between serving at the rail in individual cups and intiction (dipping bread in the juice). Communion is open to all who come seeking a relationship with Jesus. Denominational background and church membership are not required for communion. 

  • What should I wear?

    We care about people. We do not worry about what you are wearing.

  • Is there Sunday School?

    We have Sunday School for all ages at 9:00 AM on Sunday.  Our Joy Class is our adult class and they study a traditional Bible based Sunday School Discussion. We have Sunday School and Nursery for birth through High School.

  • Is there Children's Church or Nursery?

    We do offer Children’s Church and Nursery during our 10:00 AM service.  The children start out in worship and leave after the Children’s Sermon.

  • Is the Church Available for events (i.e., Weddings, funerals, etc.)?

    We are open to others using our property as long as it does not interfere with church functions. Contact the office for more information gffumc@gmail.com
